Author Unites With Visionary Voices of Global & Personal Wellbeing
North
Bay activist and Alternative-culture archivist Neriah Lothamer
is now published in the new anthology Healing Our Planet,
Healing Our Selves: The Power of Change Within to Change the World
(Elite Books, 2005). Addressing the real problems of healing in
a world of terrorism and uncertainty is the focus of this cooperative
effort of 38 authors including the Dalai Lama, Helen Caldicott,
Deepak Chopra, Ram Dass, Huston Smith, Mary Catherine Bateson,
Daryl Hannah, Saniel Bonder, Neale Donald Walsch, Debbie Ford,
Barbara Max Hubbard, and Alberto Villoldo. Neriah Lothamer, a
local resident for the past several years, joins with these famous
new age writers in recognizing that in order to heal ourselves
we must at the same time focus on healing our planetary environment.
Healing Our Planet, Healing Our Selves reveals the real
heart of the problem as well as its solution, and the attitude
changes necessary to save our world.
Practical
applications are illustrated as well as simple answers, workable
alternatives, diagnoses of the symptoms, and healing advice—confronting
and addressing the most vital aspects of our personal and collective
lives. These authors speak of how important humanity’s choices
are at this historic moment and they offer their visions of hope
and healing, collectively pointing out the inherent and inalienable
connection between the individual and the rest of life on Earth.
Healing
Our Planet, Healing Our Selves offers authentic and powerful
solutions that are proposed by each of the writers in clear terms
easily applied in our daily lives; examples are given, stories
and anecdotes are used, and specific approaches to healing the
most common problems now facing humanity are explained. The confusion
of the political, economic, social, and ecological malaise on
the planet is addressed by these authors; they explain how the
perception of “wholeness”—“the unity that
is the fabric of Life”—is the sense we need to use
to perceive our lives now on Earth. They point out the importance
of both diversity and wholeness being accepted in our life and
in our world.
Neriah
says of the book, “Whether it is the Dalai Lama talking
about “Compassion in action” or any of the other co-authors
explaining from the perspectives of their diverse fields—it
is one voice being spoken in this excitingly fresh anthology,
a voice of compassion that embraces each and every one of us,
a voice that speaks with profound unity of purpose, a voice filled
with sobering reflections on humanity’s choices, and a voice
of hope encouraging us to heal ourselves and our world.”
Neriah
Lothamer’s submission to the anthology is a chapter from
his forthcoming book Dancing in the Shadow of Tyranny: An
Avtivist’s Guide to Inner Disarmament, due out in print
April of 2005 (Elite Books). For more information see http://www.NeriahLothamer.com/
Dawson
Church is the best-selling, award-winning editor who spearheaded
the project. He has helped many new age authors get published
and has himself published several anthologies, edited over 300
books, and written several of his own. Geralyn Gendreau is the
coeditor and also a co-author.
